The New England Hockey League is a youth hockey league with a goal to attract the top players from each geographic region based on where your town plays. Teams in the NEHL will be comprised of players strictly from VHL youth town hockey programs. The NEHL will be an “all-star” league which will supplement your town hockey regular seasons with zero scheduling conflicts.
Teams during the first year of play will be based out of Massachusetts with hopes of expanding to other areas that feature VHL town programs.
The inaugural season will be 2019-2020. Tryouts will take place during the spring of 2019. Dates, times, and locations for tryouts will be set in the near future.
Each team will play one game per week throughout the season. Games will be played on Sundays. There will be one weekly skills/practice run by a professional staff to maximize the development of the players.
During the inaugural season, the NEHL will consist of four teams from the following regions:
• Merrimack Vallety
• North Shore
• Greater Boston
The following levels of play will be offered:
• Mite Major (2012’s & 2011’s)
