Ryan Furness Named Middlesex Peewee Minor Head Coach

Native of Salt Lake City, UT, Ryan left home at 16 to join the Marquette Electricians AAA Midgets in the Michigan National Hockey League. Played 3 years of Junior A in the USHL for Waterloo Blackhawks, Dubuque Fighting Saints and Sioux City Musketeers. He won the National Championship with the Dubuque Fighting Saints in 1993. Played 4 years of Division 1 college hockey. The first two years for University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in CCHA and the last two years for University of Massachusetts (UMass) in Hockey East. He played two professional seasons in the ECHL for Dayton Bombers and Wheeling Nailers. Ryan currently resides in Reading, MA with his wife Leah and his two boys Gavin (10) and Graham (8). He coaches the Reading Squirt AAA, Reading Mite 1 and the Wrap Solutions AAA in the TSMHL.
