Player of the Week - 1/10/21

Sunday January 10th

As we start to reach the mid-point of the season, games are heating up! There’s been plenty of scoring and plenty of solid defensive play all across the VHL/NEHL All-Stars thus far. This week’s “Player of the Week” comes from the Merrimack Valley region. Scoring 5 goals, 1 of those shorthanded, and assisting on another, 2008 Merrimack Valley Forward Derek Perault seemed to be an unstoppable offensive force! Head coach Mike Venezia had this to say about Derek’s game on Sunday, “ Derek is a very talented player who sees the ice very well and plays in all 3 zones with high intensity. He is the first one in the corner or to the net and also makes sure he is the first one back on the back check to help his defense.” The 2008 Merrimack Valley All-Stars downed the high scoring South Shore Dynamo’s team 7-5.
